Alicia Sacramone and Jordyn Wieber

As part of the two-year agreement, they will make personal appearances and be featured in promotional materials on behalf of the brand."Jordyn has really brought the gymnastics world to life with her recent achievements, wowing fans every step of the way," said Paul Sullivan, vice president of sales and marketing for AAI and Spalding, both divisions of Russell Brands, LLC.
"Alicia has been wowing fans for more than 10 years," he added. "Her stellar competition results speak for themselves. We are elated that Alicia is now officially part of the AAI family." Wieber's gymnastics career began at the age of 4, and by 7 years old she qualified for the 2002 National TOP 7 & 8 Year Old Diamond Team. Since then, she has been unstoppable, earning titles such as 2011 All-Around World Champion, 2011 U.S. Senior National Champion, 2011 and 2012 AT&T American Cup Champion. Wieber was also the 2008 U.S. Junior National Champion and the 2009 AT&T American Cup Champion. Wieber is now London bound after earning a spot on the 2012 Olympic gymnastics team.
"To be part of the AAI family and team up with a brand that has stood behind me is very exciting," said Wieber. "AAI equipment will continue to be an important part of my success as I look toward the 2012 games and beyond.
Sacramone was a member of the silver-medal winning U.S. Olympic gymnastics team in 2008 and has won 10 career World Championships medals, including four golds, four silvers and two bronzes, the highest career tally in U.S. history. She was named USA Gymnastics' Sportswoman of the Year in five different years. Following a hiatus from gymnastics after the 2008 Olympic Games, Sacramone returned to the sport in 2010 and competed in the Visa Championships. In October 2010, she was chosen to be a member of the USA World Championship Team and came home not only with the silver medal in the team competition, but also with the World Championship gold medal in vault.
