Is the 2012 USA Women's Gymnastics Team Better Than the 1996 Olympic Team?

The U.S. women's gymnastics team just won the gold medal at the 2012 LondonOlympics. Posting a score of 183.596, the Americans enjoyed an easy margin of victory over runners-up Russia (which notched a 178.530) and Romania (176.414).
It was the first gold medal for the U.S. women in the team event since the "Magnificent Seven" topped the podium in 1996. That team was led by the likes of Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu, Kerri Strug and Amy Chow.
The 2012 version has been dubbed the "Fab Five" by the media—and rightly so, as Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney and Kyla Ross have looked unflappable to this point.
Bleacher Report correspondent Alicia Sacramone, silver medalist in 2008, talks about the win, but also about the million-dollar question: How would the Fab Five stack up against the Magnificent Seven?
