Los Angeles – May 7, 2012 – Universal Sports Network'sCountdown to London show will continue this Wednesday, May 9 at 8 p.m. ET to take a comprehensive look at the most compelling stories leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Hosted by Craig Hummer and Amy Bender, this week'sCountdown to London will highlight news from the world of track and field, as Olympic gold medalist sprinter Allyson Felix will be featured as she discusses her career and goals for this summer's Olympic Games. Also featured is Olympic gold medalist sprinter Justin Gatlin who will look for Olympic glory after serving a four-year ban. Appearing in the studio will be Universal Sports Network/NBC analyst and four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon who will discuss the top Olympic hopeful sprinters heading into London.
The Countdown Conversation with Fred Roggin presented by Budweiser will feature a Mother's Day tribute with world champion gymnast Jordyn Wieber's mother Rita appearing in studio to talk about her daughter's Olympic hopes and the experience of being an parent to an elite gymnast.
The show's other weekly features include Reliving the Glory presented by Panasonic with flashbacks to great moments in Olympic history with the airing of archived short films by legendary Olympic filmmaker Bud Greenspan, On the Web presented by Dow, a social media roundup of Olympic athletes and news, as well as additional content including event previews, breaking news coverage and a weekly update from a journalist from London.
